Wine: 80% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintage: hand-picked, from mid-September onwards

Wine-making: through 7/8 days long maceration on the grape skins for extracting the polyphenols. Fermentation at controlled temperature

Ageing: wine obtained from Montepulciano and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietals grown in the "Cinque Colli" vineyards: Ancarano, Colonnella, Controguerra, Corropoli and Torano Nuovo. After 24-months long ageing, with 6 months in bottles, the Cinque Colli Controguerra Rosso wine is assigned the 'Riserva' label

Smell: intense and persistent

Flavour: with excellent structure, full-bodied and well-balanced

Technical specification: 13% Alcohol

Serving temperature: 18,5°/20° C

Best with: red meats, wild game and mature cheeses
